CLINICAL REQUIREMENTS

A Single Comprehensive Major Aesthetic Reconstruction (Combination Of Different Treatments)
Two Cases Of Direct Composite Restorations, (1 Anterior And 1 Posterior Composite Case)
E.G. Direct Composite Veneers, Cl. IV Restoration, Diastema Closure Using Composites
Two Cases Of Indirect Ceramic Restorations (1 Anterior And 1 Posterior Cases), Or (1 Anterior Case And A CAD/ CAM Assisted Dentistry Case)
E.G. Indirect Dental Veneers, All Ceramic Anterior Restorations, Inlays, Onlays
A Single Periosurgery Or A Laser Assisted Dentistry Case
E.G. Gingivoplasty, Gingivoctomy, Crown Lengthening

All Admitted Cases Should Comply With The Case Acceptance Criteria Of The British Academy Of Implant And Restorative Dentistry

Upon Successfully Completion Of The Course’s Eight Modules, Delegates Will Be Awarded 120 Verifiable CPD Hours By BAIRD Academy (Certificate Of Attendance)
Course Delegates Are Required To First Pass Their Final Theoretical And Practical Examinations And Then To Submit A Portfolio Of Their Clinical Requirements Which Will Allow Them To Qualify For 60 CPD Hours Upon Acceptance Of Their Clinical Cases And Be Awarded BAIRD Professional Diploma In Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry 180 CPD

EXAMINATIONS

Monthly Theoretical Exams (30 Marks)
Final Theoretical Exam (40 Marks)
Final Practical/Oral Exam (30 Marks)

Students Will Only Be Allowed To Sit The Final Theoretical And Practical Exams If:
A. They Have Not Missed More Than One Module
B. The Have Recorded An Average Pass Mark Of Their Modular Exams
C. They Have Paid The Full Course Fees Before The Exam Date
– Students Must Not Give Or Receive Assistance Of Any Kind During Any Of The Course Exams. Any Cheating, Any Attempt To Cheat, Assisting Others To Cheat, Or Participating Therein, Or Engaging In Such Improper Conduct As Listed Below Is A Serious Violation And Will Generally Result In Disqualifying The Candidate’s Paper, And Such Other Disciplinary Action As May Be Deemed Appropriate.
– The Pass Mark Of All The Theory And Practical Exams Is The Equivalent Of 60% Of The Specific Exam.

Before And Post-Completion Photographs, Which Are 4” X 6” In Size, Taken With Retraction And Clearly Show The Following Views, Are Required For Each Case:

• Occlusal, Mandibular
• Lateral View In Centric Occlusion, Left
• Lateral View In Centric Occlusion, Right

Radiographs
Duplicates Of The Original Radiographs If Needed Should Be Submitted (Case Dependent).

Study And Working Models
Study And Working Models Of The Case If Needed Should Be Photographed And Submitted With The Case Report.

Isolation
All Performed Procedures Should Be Done Under Rubber Dam Isolation If Needed.
